St. Josephine Bakhita

She was born in the Darfur region of Sudan in 1869. Her deep desire to help others come to know the Lord is best expressed in her famous advice to all pilgrims:

“Be good, love the Lord, pray for those who do not know Him. What a great grace it is to know God!
